Turou and Welcome to the PITA AGM 2017

This week so many of you will be utilising the innate skills that helped us conquer vast expanses of ocean in our collective voyaging past, to now sail the ocean of connectivity and technology.

And like our Tupuna, our ancestors you will look well beyond the horizon and sail into new territories making those new territories your own.

Technology and digital connectedness are these new territories and this week will be about exploring new technologies and connectedness while improving the quality of life for our Pacific nations and our people.

May your time here at the 21 Pacific Islands Telecommunications Association AGM be one of continued connectivity at every level.

Welcome Message From Bluesky Cook Islands

Bluesky Group Cook Islands are proud to host the 21st PITA AGM & Tradeshow. This meeting will bring over 300 delegates, many accompanied with partners to our shores. This will be the first time the Cook Islands will have the opportunity to showcase our Islands to the members of the PITA association.

This event will be held from the 3rd of April through to the 7th of April, 2017. In the usual PITA spirit, the week-long conference will cover a number of meetings, open discussions, networking and an opportunity for overseas exhibitors to showcase their products to the telecommunications communities.

This event presents us with a wonderful opportunity to work in partnership with the Government of the Cook Islands, our sponsors, and other organisations to deliver, what we plan to be – a most memorable PITA Conference!

I take this opportunity to also welcome all participants of the Pacific Ministers of Telecommunication Conference.

The Bluesky team and I look forward to sharing with you our little piece of paradise and showcasing with the rest of the PITA community the advances of technology and telecommunications – celebrating 21 years!
